Sprigg
If you’re on the lookout for a healthy dining option in Glasgow, look no further than Sprigg Salad Bar. It is right in the middle of the city, this salad bar is a fast food option and there is a interesting selection too choose from.
At Sprigg, you can build your own salad from
an impressive selection of fresh ingredients. You can choose from a variety of
greens, toppings and dressings, there is also an option to get their soup of the
day and their freshly baked focaccia. The ingredients are locally sourced, sustainable
and not processed at all.
The shop has a modern, bright interior. However
it is take away only. There is normally a queue at lunch time due to the salad
bar being so popular. I chose the build your own salad option and got a
chicken salad with various different toppings and a sweet chilli dressing. The
salad was delicious and the staff were very informative when explaining how to
order and giving recommendations. It was so good I returned again and tried their lentil soup.
This was the best lentil soup I have ever tasted and the olive oil focaccia bread that
came along with it was 10/10. If you love a salty lentil soup then this is definitely
the one for you!
I would rate my meal 5/5 for both the salad and the lentil
soup. For price I would say it is quite pricey as my salad cost around £10
which is quite expensive for a salad. The service was good and the staff gave
me some good recommendations, however it is slightly disappointing that there is no area to dine in. All in all, I would definitely recommend Sprigg.
