My most recent journey to find healthy cafes in Glasgow took me to Soul Food Kitchen, a popular café in Glasgow that celebrates the rich and comforting flavours and is known for being a great spot for vegans and vegetarians. This inviting spot offers a cosy vibe that feels like home making it the perfect spot for those seeking hearty comfort food that is healthy.

Soul Food Kitchen is a  vegan and vegetarian café located in Sauchiehall Street. The menu is a delightful mix of classic favourites from burgers to avocado toast to delicious desserts. Each dish is crafted with care using fresh and locally sourced ingredients that elevate traditional flavours.

What sets this kitchen apart is its commitment to inclusivity offering a range of options for various dietary needs. Their signature "Soul Bowl" is a fan favourite allowing customers to customize their meal with a variety of proteins, grains and vegetables and then to finish an amazing house-made sauce.

In addition to the fantastic food Soul Food Kitchen hosts a variety of engaging events, including workshops on healthy eating this creating a community atmosphere. I was lucky enough to attend one of their themed dinners, which showcased seasonal ingredients and inventive takes on beloved classics.

During my visit I indulged in their amazing avocado toast, served alongside sweet potato mash. Each bite was a burst of flavour. The friendly staff added to the welcoming vibe that Soul Food Kitchen embodies. I went with my friend and she brought her dog as it it’s a pet friendly café, which is a big perk for dog owners.
